6,673 yards from the tips, West Ridge isn't a spectacularly long course, but what it lacks in length it makes up for with the rolling hills and changes in elevation in the links layout that create blind shots and hidden hazards, which make virtually every hole a challenge.

There are seven ponds on the course, which come into play occasionally and provide additional trouble. Winds from the south coming off the mountains are also a factor, making some of the holes longer than they appear on the score card. The par-71 layout features a series of dog legs, uphill and downhill holes, shots over sand and water and fast, undulating greens that make even putting difficult.

West Ridge is a true test of golf for all levels of player. If you're having trouble scoring par, just look up at the stunning views.

The course is renowned for its proximity to the WasatchMountains, the Great Salt Lake and the entire SaltLakeValley, which is visible from the elevated tees and throughout the course.
